Maharashtra's caretaker Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who was in his native village for two days after taking ill, has broken his silence on the new CM stalemate. Speaking to the media, he said that all three allies of the Mahayuti have a good understanding and that the CM candidate will be decided on Monday.

Maharashtra: The health of caretaker CM Eknath Shinde, who is at his native village in Satara, has deteriorated. Shinde is suffering from fever and a throat infection and a team of doctors is treating him.

During his visit to his native village of Dare in Satara district, Shinde further mentioned, according to PTI, that discussions on government formation were ongoing and assured that all decisions would be taken collectively by the three Mahayuti allies — Shiv Sena,

Eknath Shinde said that the Mahayuti alliances chief minister candidate will be decided tomorrow and reiterated that he has already given his unconditional support to the decision taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi,

Talking about his health, Eknath Shinde says he is feeling fine and came home in Satara to rest after working relentlessly over the last two and a half years and during the Assembly elections.

BJP leader Raosaheb Danve hinted that the Maharashtra Chief Minister's name has been finalised, while a Shiv Sena leader said Eknath Shinde is expected to return to Mumbai today as government formation hangs in the balance.

The Shiv Sena leader headed to his native village Dare in Satara district on Friday (November 29) amid speculation that he was not happy with the way the new state government was shaping up.
