Subaru Corporation (OTCPK:FUJHY) (OTCPK:FUJHF) plan to launch a jointly developed electric vehicle in Japan, the U.S., and Europe in 2026, according to Nikkei. The goal of the partnership between the two Japanese automakers is to improve production efficiency and cut costs throughout the electric vehicle

Plans for the Toyota three-row electric SUV to be built in Kentucky were first announced by the automaker in 2023. Toyota said at the time it would introduce 10 EVs by the end of 2026 for both the Toyota and Lexus brands, after which the company would introduce next-generation EVs delivering much more range.

Bosses at Toyota have scaled back plans to launch wide-scale manufacturing of electric cars in the US with plans for a 2025 launch pushed back by a year amid concerns about lessening demand for EVs.
