While the BJP will retain the Chief Minister's post in Maharashtra, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has reportedly approved the appointment of two Deputy Chief Ministers.

Maharashtra: Sources said if Devendra Fadnavis becomes the CM, then Eknath Shinde can become the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra. In that case, he can also have the Ministry of Urban Development or PWD.

The majority are suggesting Devendra Fadnavis is the likely choice to lead the government as BJP swept the polls bagging 132 constituencies.

After meeting with Union Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda, Maharashtra caretaker Chief Minister Eknath Shinde described the meeting as "good and positive." He added that another meeting would be held,
