Activision reports the initial success of the Ricochet anti-cheat software during the first week of Ranked Play.

Complaints about Call of Duty cheating have ramped up recently with the launch of ranked play in Black Ops 6, and Activision has responded to outline the steps it’s taken to fight back. In a tweet, Activision said that Team Ricochet,

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has been out for a month, and multiplayer is, of course, where cheaters are doing their best to ruin everyone else’s fun – but Activision is doing its best to catch them with an increasing emphasis on using AI.

Activision has fixed a major Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 problem by restoring account progress and saves, particularly for Multiplayer and Zombies gamers. Since the first major Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 update, some Zombies fans have reported progression resets, but this should now be resolved.

Activision has released a new patch for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone, addressing mantling movement, weapon issues, and adjusting Warzone 's player count on Area 99. These Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone patches also address several bugs, UI problems, and stability issues to ensure a more polished experience for players.

Call of Duty's Ricochet anti-cheat is active in Black Ops 6 and Warzone, but unsavory players were still managing to flood into Ranked Play mode. Activision says this is partially due to an outage that was identified as lowering Ricochet's efficiency of the AI systems used for cheat detection.
