More than 600 employees who work out of CVS Health’s Woonsocket headquarters, including 80 state residents, will lose their jobs in December, according to a notice filed with the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training on Sunday,

CVS has filed notice with the state that it intends to lay off 632 Rhode Island-based workers following last week's announcement that it will be cutting thousands of corporate jobs.

Only 153 of the terminated employees work at the Woonsocket headquarters or surrounding facilities while the remaining affected employees work remotely, reporting to leaders in Woonsocket.

The Woonsocket-headquartered company filed its required “Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification” (WARN) letter with the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training, which was posted on Monday. CVS wrote the following:
