Dutch Fire initially started 3:32 p.m. Oct. 5 in Nevada County. It has burned 45 acres after being active for 24 hours. By Sunday afternoon, the fire crew effectively contained 15% of this fire. The blaze's cause remains under investigation.

Several agencies are currently responding to a wildfire that ignited in Nevada County Saturday afternoon. The fire is being referred to as the Dutch Fire and started around 3:30 p.m. in the Lowell Hill Road and Dutch Flat Powerhouse Road area.
Evacuation orders issued in Nevada and Placer counties due to Dutch Fire
