Caretaker CM Eknath Shinde said that his government's work in the last 2.5 years will be written in golden letters in history. This is why people have given a historic mandate to the alliance.

He also sought to remind the BJP central leadership that Assembly elections were successfully fought under his leadership although he reiterated that his party will support the decision taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

During his visit to his native village of Dare in Satara district, Shinde further mentioned, according to PTI, that discussions on government formation were ongoing and assured that all decisions would be taken collectively by the three Mahayuti allies — Shiv Sena,

Talking about his health, Eknath Shinde says he is feeling fine and came home in Satara to rest after working relentlessly over the last two and a half years and during the Assembly elections.

Maharashtra caretaker CM Eknath Shinde said, "I am doing good now. I had come here to rest after the hectic election schedule... I did not take any leave during my 2.5 years as the CM. People are still here to meet me.

Shiv Sena MLA Gulabrao Patil suggested that the party could have gained more seats without Ajit Pawar's NCP in the Mahayuti alliance. Patil praised Eknath Shinde's leadership, showing no dissatisfaction despite Pawar’s inclusion.

Shiv Sena MLA Gulabrao Patil said Shinde never asked why Ajit Pawar's NCP was inducted in his government in the state.

The Mahayuti comprises the BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP. Pawar had joined the Shinde government in July last year and was made deputy CM.

Shiv Sena MLA Gulabrao Patil on Sunday said the Eknath Shinde-led party would have won 90-100 seats in the November 20 assembly polls if Ajit Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party was not part of the Mahayuti.
