Alphabet Inc.’s Google is asking a federal appeals court to throw out a ruling in an antitrust case brought by Fortnite-maker Epic Games that would force the search giant to overhaul its Play mobile app store.

The judge ruled last year the Google Play app store was required to make changes to its payment system after forcing app developers to explicitly use its proprietary system.

Google is appealing a verdict forcing major changes to its Play Store, arguing the ruling unfairly benefits Epic Games and could harm developers and users.
