Former Colts quarterback Andrew Luck told ESPN he is returning to Stanford to serve as the football program's general manager

Andrew Luck is returning to his alma mater to become the general manager of the Stanford football program, he told ESPN's Pete Thamel. "I'm excited," Luck told ESPN. "I think Stanford is taking an assertive and innovative step.

Luck will oversee every aspect of the program, both on and off the field, in an expanded role rarely seen in college football.
