California health officials are warning not to drink another lot of raw milk from Fresno-based Raw Farm after it tested positive for bird flu virus. More testing of Raw Farm products is underway, the state said.

Another batch of raw milk just tested positive for bird flu in California. Last Sunday, Fresno-based Raw Farm voluntarily recalled a first batch of cream top whole raw milk with a "best by" date of November 27.

The CDPH noted that no illnesses connected to the raw milk have been reported, but "due to the ongoing spread of bird flu in dairy cows, poultry, and sporadic human cases, consumers should not consume any of the affected raw milk." If you have purchased any of the product, the CDPH encourages you to immediately return it to your point of purchase.

State health officials have issued another warning to Californians not to consume raw milk after the bird flu virus was detected in a second retail sample from Raw Farm LLC. The Fresno-based company has issued a voluntary recall of the affected milk lot code number 20241119,

The outbreak hit California dairy farms in the late summer, and shortly thereafter, some dairy workers handling the raw milk began to fall ill with avian influenza themselves. Today in the state, more than 400 dairy farms are suffering outbreaks of avian influenza.
