First previewed in July, the feature displays roadblocks reported by Waze drivers in the Google Maps app. You can dismiss them or add details based on your own journey.

Google Maps and Waze are making good on updates that were promised back in July. The services, both owned by Alphabet, are offering more information to drivers about traffic cameras, car crashes ahead and speed traps that users on both apps can report or respond to.

The Google Maps app has started receiving the incident reports feature from Waze. Are we coming closer to full integration?

We're not sure why it took so long to implement, but Google Maps users can now see Waze's (arguably superior) crowd-sourced incident report markers on their navigation routes.

This comes after Google Maps replaced speed traps with a Police option in the incident reporting menu last week. This feature was also first announced by Google in late July, along with a handful of other upgrades to both Maps and Waze, some of which we touched on above.
