It’s no surprise that the Google Pixel phone is on offer now that Black Friday is upon us. The company’s own store has just launched price cuts of $150 of the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro. But if you’re in the market for a new phone from Google, Amazon’s prices match or outdo Google’s, including for higher-capacity models.

There’s a lot of things to love about the Google Pixel 9, but the fact the price went up by $100 for the second year in a row is not one of them. Fortunately a little patience goes a long way, and if you’ve held off on upgrading to Pixel 9 so far you now have the option to save $251 on the retail price.

Google has been circling around dropping the Pixel 9 price with surprise vouchers and enhanced trade-in prices in recent weeks. But the company has finally, officially, slashed the price of its flagship phone in an early Black Friday sale.

What Google has done with the Pixel 9 Pro, however, remains interesting. It takes an excellent camera array and puts it behind a bright OLED screen, then packs the software with AI tricks and gives it a long battery life.
