Both games will continue to be ‘maintained and updated’ by GOG to stay compatible with new systems for game owners

Come later this month, GOG will stop selling the first two entries in Blizzard’s seminal Warcraft real-time strategy game series. On December 13, the marketplace will delist Warcraft: Orcs & Humans and Warcraft II: Battle.

Blizzard is delisting Warcraft I and II from GOG, the only PC gaming storefront the real-time strategy classics were available on outside of the company’s own Battle.net launcher. The move comes after the recent launch of its own expensive and lackluster remasters of the two games,

The digital distribution platform believes in maintaining and preserving classic titles for today's audiences.

GOG has vowed to preserve Warcraft 1 and 2 even though they're set to be delisted from its store on 13th December, 2024. Whilst not confirmed, it's likely the games are being pulled because of the recently released remasters.
