Sony may be poised to have another major weapon in its arsenal. Reuters (and now Nikkei) is reporting that Sony is in talks to acquire Kadokawa, the parent company of FromSoftware which is the developer of games like Elden Ring and Dark Souls.

Kadokawa Corporation, an anime and manga giant and FromSoftware's parent company, has recently confirmed that Sony expressed interest in buying out their company. Sony's intent to buy out Kadokawa was first reported by Reuters on Tuesday (19 November). However, Kadokawa's CEO affirmed that the company is yet to make a decision.

On Sunday, reports have heated up that allege Sony is looking to buy the Elden Ring developer FromSoftware's parent company, Kadokawa.

"No decision has been made at this time," but a letter of intent has been received and that means the wheels are turning.
