Released on November 14 amid sky-high hype and expectations, Kollywood star Suriya’s ambitious period action-fantasy drama, Kanguva, ended up being a colossal failure at the box office. The Siva directorial was panned by critics and movie lovers for the lack of emotional quotient and other technical shortcomings.

Suriya's 'Kanguva' is an action-packed fantasy film directed by Siruthai Siva, set in ancient times. Despite failing to impress at the box office, the film's OTT rights were sold to Prime Video for Rs 100 crore.
